Enable Rwanda and the Catholic University of Rwanda signed a memorandum of understanding at the Taba campus in Butare on 27 August 2025. The agreement covers digital agriculture, joint research and grant writing.
Three things, plainly stated. We work together on digital agriculture tools for farmers. We design and run research together, with the university publishing independently. And we write funding applications as one team rather than two.
Not much, immediately. Over a season it means the advice we give has been tested rather than assumed, and that the results are checked by people who do not work for us.
Students join our field teams for a season and take on a real piece of the work. Baseline surveys, plot measurement, follow up interviews. They finish with data of their own and a season of fieldwork behind them.
