Why we exist
Rwanda farms on hills, and the soil is running out of time.
Every heavy rain takes topsoil off the slope. Plots get smaller as families divide land. Advice written for flat, mechanised farms does not help the farmer working half a hectare above a valley.
To enable Rwandan communities to adopt conservation based farming and development practices through training, innovation, research and partnerships.

A practical training series on better agricultural practice: ridging, spacing, mulching and compost. Farmers opened the furrows themselves on the demonstration plot rather than watching someone else do it.
