Because farming resilience and community health depend on each other.
ENABLE Rwanda works to strengthen community health and well-being alongside its agricultural programmes. That means improving access to safe water and sanitation, supporting trauma healing and psychosocial recovery for genocide survivors and youth, and helping vulnerable households access health insurance.
Projects
Every project below sits under this pillar.
A solar powered water pumping and storage system for Gatwe village and its neighbours, built as the foundation for later work on hygiene, nutrition, agriculture and livelihoods.
Separate healing sessions for two groups: survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, and young people working through intergenerational trauma and building resilience.
Health insurance premiums covered for genocide survivor households that had fallen behind, restoring access to care for the families that needed it most.
