Adoption a year after training is the number most projects never collect, and the only one that shows whether advice actually changed a farm. This brief sets out what we measure, how we measure it, and what the first cohorts told us about the gap between attending a training and still using the practice at the next harvest.

Farmers adopt a practice during a training and abandon it by the following season. We wanted to know how often that happens, and what separates the groups where it does not.
Baseline survey at first contact, a plot measurement at harvest, and a follow up visit one full season later.
Adoption rate at twelve months, broken down by contact hours, and what farmers said when the practice was dropped.
