Youth and capacity building
Young farmers and agriculture students learn the full conservation agriculture curriculum, then run a session for a farmer group themselves while we sit at the back and take notes.
The course is five days of content and one day that decides everything: each participant runs a real session for a real farmer group.
Soil, planting, mulch, compost, rotation, record keeping. The same material we teach farmers, plus how to teach it on a plot with tools in people's hands.
Participants are assessed by the farmers they taught, not by us. Groups score the session on whether they would come back.
Certified trainers are first in line for paid work on our next cohort in their sector.
